You can delete your 1v1 account and associated data at any time. This page explains how, and what happens to your data. It applies whether you use 1v1 on the web or via the Android app.
Delete from inside the app
- Open 1v1 and go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete Account, then confirm.
- Your account is scheduled for permanent deletion after a 7-day grace period. This protects against accidental or malicious requests — you can cancel simply by logging back in within those 7 days.
If you can't sign in
Email privacy@1v1.social from the email address on your account and we will process the deletion on your behalf within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile — username, display name, bio, social links, avatar — your interests, mood, and equipped cosmetics.
- Direct messages you sent, your Spotlight posts and comments, your Stories, and your uploaded voice messages and images.
- Your friend connections, gamification progress (XP, levels, streaks, and Aura), and any push-notification subscription.
After the 7-day grace period ends, profile and content data is erased within 30 days, and copies in encrypted backups are pruned within 90 days.
What we may retain
- A minimal banned-account record (identifiers only) if the account was banned, retained to enforce the ban as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Limited security and moderation audit-log entries for up to 12 months, and any records we are legally required to keep.
- Messages you sent to other people are removed from your account, but may persist in the other person's inbox until they delete them.
For the full detail on what we collect, why, and how long we keep it, see our Privacy Policy (in particular the retention and your rights sections).
